Peter Nelson is a Principal in BioDimensions, LLC a Memphis, Tennessee-based service provider to companies developing "green" technologies. He has spent the last 12 years working with public and private companies, educational institutions and governmental organizations promoting a new biobased economy. He serves as an Advisor to companies that include Arkansas-based Infinite Enzymes and Ontario-based Stemergy. Both companies are working to introduce new agricultural-based opportunities. Mr. Nelson has worked extensively with Tennessee State University, an 1890 Land Grant University, to develop opportunities for minority students to participate in new, agriculture-based technologies. Mr. Nelson is a published writer, a frequent speaker at conferences related to biobased products and renewables, and participates on key steering committees and strategic planning efforts. Among other projects, he is involved in deploying new farming methods in Sub-Saharan Africa, including Sudan where he has worked for two short terms. Mr. Nelson is a graduate of the University of Memphis. He worked a small farm for eight years and his extended family has been involved in agriculture in Tennessee since the 1850's.
