Hinkle is a 30 year member
and union official of UAW Local 879. Lynn
Hinkle helped negotiate key sustainable local contract
provisions and lead the local's Green Conversion efforts with Ford. Lynn is also
co-Chair of the Minnesota Legislated Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle Task Force
and is part of the steering committee for the Mayors' Green Manufacturing
Initiative. He is co-convener of Labor and Sustainability and the Ford
Site Strategy Coalition working on a carbon offset mixed use redevelopment of
the Ford Site that involves green manufacturing. Lynn
was a main presenter at the Midwest Conference on Labor and the New Energy
Economy in Cleveland
October and the North American Labor Assembly on Climate Crisis. |
